Week 6 Reflection

I just can not believe this is the sixth week! Looking at the time on the calendar, I realized that there are only 3 weeks to submit materials for Junior Review. 😱 😱

But now I am completely unprepared. In the middle of the next week, I will focus on organizing my work and materials. For now, the biggest question is whether I should include the works during my internship. I confirmed with my last internship company that I could put the works I have done. But the last internship was more about visual design. I think it might not show my design thinking and process. And my current internship is designing the future products, which means I could not publish the product to the public. If I want to put it in my website I need to redo the project in different present way. In this way, I need a lot of time to make changes. This will take a very long time, and in my current situation, there may not be so much time to start a new project. 😞

Except for preparing material for Junior Review, I also focused on the friendship event. As one of the student leaders for this event, I am really looking forward to do my group session with Aining. We have came up with serval ideas of this event. But so far, the two of us have spent more time preparing the portfolio, so we just put all the ideas we have on mural. We hope that we can summarize and screen our existing ideas in the coming days.

To be honest, I didn't spend too much time on schoolwork this week due to heavy internship tasks. But I have started to communicate with my boss about the balance between my studies and working hours, and I have obtained a relatively effective solution. I hope that in next week, I will be able to finished all three existing portfolios, so that I can start looking for classmates or professionals to comment on my work.
